OUR CRAZY DREAM
…coming true!
OUR TRIP AROUND THE WORLD
2 thirty-year olds…
2015 is the year we turn 30. The year we pictured in 2000 as a far-away future, when we would actually be “old”. The problem is: you do not feel old. Ok, you do feel a bit more tired after a big party, people at work do not ask you anymore in a big meeting if you are the intern and you feel like it is time to switch from a moisturizing to a “1st signs of aging” cream. I also have to add that when you hit the thirties you realize that everybody around you has decided to grow-up at the same time: moving in together, buying a flat, getting married or pregnant. As if youth had a 2015 expiration date. So here we are, 2 thirty-year olds feeling that our thirty adventure should start with something a little bit different… Click here to follow our adventures

… hitting the world’s roads…
How would it feel to live a life with no commitments? With no alarm clock set everyday at the same hour? With no need to take the metro at peak hours? A life with no boundaries? A life on the roads?
To find that out we have decided to leave our jobs (Tom has taken a sabbatical and I took the quitting option), moved our stuff out from our flats, bought a one-way ticket to Melbourne, organized a big party to say goodbye to everyone and worked on this site to share our adventures. We have of course spent time buying cool (and probably useless) travel gear, identifying what will be the perfect 13kg wardrobe for one year (a tough task if you ask me), read a lot of travel books and blogs and worked on some cool playlists to accompany us in the planes, cars, buses, trains that will be carrying us on these roads.
… around the world!
And here you are, your new home on your back (a.k.a. backpack), with a one-way ticket to Australia in your hand and your whole life now only weights 13 kg. Yes, you did it. You are going on a 10-month trip around the world. Challenges? Yes, there will be a lot. Obstacles? Our roads will be packed with them. But we are willing to take our chances for that exhilarating thing called Freedom. So where will Lady Freedom takes us to? We will learn to say “Merhaba” in the beautiful hills of Istanbul, “Howdy” in a local pub in a faraway Australian beach, “Ni hao” in a Chinese temple that has seen its share of history or “Hola” in a vineyard in Chile. So hasta la vista baby and we hope to see you on these roads… Follow us around the globe and catch us if you can!

That’s us
